Description —> (No.6 Collaborations Project)

The idea that no man is an island has never been truer than in the realms of contemporary pop and urban music, where no single can truly be said to exist unless it has a “feature” on it. Ed Sheeran No.6 Collaborations Project has brought that longstanding trend to its natural apotheosis with his feature-length features project, “No.6 Collaborations Project.” It sports 15 songs that all have “featuring…” credits, although that count doesn’t begin to do the math on how many all-stars are crammed in, since the pop star doesn’t ever include just one rapper on a number when two will do. It may be the first major mainstream pop album that makes you feel like gulping some Gatorade from the exhaustion just of reading through the track list.
The affable everyman dabbles in grime, hip-hop, balladry and Latino love songs as he zooms down the middle of the road to world domination.
Really liked this album — so many interesting and unexpected collaborations. For example I would not have expected Eminem and Ed Sheeran No.6 Collaborations Project to go well together, but I liked their combination on this CD
Ed Sheran is so talented. I have enjoyed listening to him for years. This is just another piece of his of music. Love the other artists he shares to sing with brings it all full circle, can’t miss with this one.
Ed Sheeran No.6 Collaborations Project is one of my all-time favorite artists. There is not a thing he can put out that I would not give a listen. I have been known to put his entire library on shuffle. This album is a great addition to his body of work. The fact that he can cross over so many genres and collaborate with such a broad range of artists is mind-blowing. There is something for everyone on this album (unless maybe you’re into twangy country music). Some of the lesser-known collaborators on this album are about to be introduced to another level of fame. I cannot stop listening to this album!
I haven’t stopped listening to it since I got it this afternoon. I will come back and do a more detailed review of the songs in a couple of days. The album photos, liner, and the vinyl itself are incredible.
